The ability of minors to access adult sites on the internet is both harmful to the child and has the potential to be legally harmful to any adult webmaster. We must come to the realization that some parents do not act responsibly and seem to be rather slow in regards to utilizing parental controls. If we can help give an incentive for people to use parental controls it will help everyone all the way around. Also, although adult webmasters cater to adults...we must keep in mind that the potential for "Innocent Eyes" viewing what we post is there.

In view of this we all must start to support the systems that exist to prevent this from happening. Currently the best way to do this is through Parental Control Software. By doing so maybe we, as webmasters, can assist in preventing the total censorship of the internet! PLEASE NOTE that this is not a membership, organization or association ; it is simply an attempt to promote parental controls on the web.

Here's how to exchange links with APPC and how it works for you:

Step 1. Register your site with ALL of the following Parental Control Systems:

Step 2. Make sure you are in compliance with 18 USC 2257 so that you are abiding by this law and you can feel secure that you have absolutely NO photos of minors on your website.

Step 3. Place the following text and small banner on your warning and or terms and conditions page (it must be exactly as you see below). Please know that this link placement request is NOT an attempt to gain mass traffic. Step 4. E-mail us after you have done the above so that we can add you to the list of responsible webmasters who are trying to maintain legal websites and promote the use of parental controls.

Step 5. Please note that a surfer can only choose one of the APPC amateurs to receive a photo from. When and if someone e-mails you to tell you they have purchased Parental Control Software and that they would like a free photo from you please respond to them in a timely manner and provide the surfer with your mailing address (a Postal Box is recommended, please do not give out your home address).

Step 6. When you receive a hardcopy letter and receipt via "snail-mail" from the surfer make sure they have included a copy of their driver's license with their full name and date of birth showing along with their receipt for parental control software. On the receipt it should have written which Parental Control Software they have purchased. Immediately email us and give us the full name of the person who sent you the receipt along with the name brand of the software on the receipt. We will check this on our list to make sure they have not already received a photo from another amateur. Only one photo from one amateur is allowed to be given to a surfer per each Parental Control Software they purchase. After we verify they have not already received a photo we will email you to let you know.

Step 7. Send a PG rated photo (absolutely no nudity) to the snail mail address the surfer provides to you. The size of the photo is up to you. We recommend a smaller photo that will fit into a regular envelope. If you are inclined you can send a larger one, but that's up to you. Be sure to write on the photo a thank you note addressing the surfer by his first name and sign it.

Step 8. Please send out the photo in a timely manner.
